Sheeting construction definition terms

Counter-flashing (or cover flashing, cap flashing) is a term used when there are two parallel pieces of flashing employed together such as on a chimney, where the counter-flashing is built into the chimney and overlaps a replaceable piece of base flashing. Construction drywall- A type of construction in which the interior wall finish is applied in a dry condition, generally in the form of sheet materials or wood paneling as contrasted to plaster. Construction, frame - A type of construction in which the structural components are wood or depend upon a wood frame for support. New terms will be added to the glossary over time. The definitions in this glossary are developed by the NAIC Research and Actuarial Department staff based on various insurance references. These definitions represent a common or general use of the term.
